Webmail is now working but submission of spam fails with following error:

"Cannot send mail:smtpOpen: connect to smtp server failed (Connection
refused)
Leave this page open and try 'reload' in a few minutes"

"Cannot send mail:smtpOpen: connect to smtp server failed (Connection refused)
Leave this page open and try 'reload' in a few minutes"
I followed that suggestion and it actually worked that time. I mean
after 5-7 mins, I clicked "reload" and it worked.

I, on the other hand, am unable to log into Webmail from two different
machines on two different networks. It keeps telling me my login failed
for some reason, yadda yadda yadda... Of course, my username/password are
saved in my Firefox at home, so I don't *have* to enter them, but I tried
anyway. Still no luck. I've emailed JT, so hopefully it'll get fixed ASAP!
It *appears* to me that whatever authentication method JT is using for
webmail is different from actual POP/IMAP and that just the webmail
authentication is broken.

I am getting the same message when logging into Webmail: "Login failed
for some reason. Make sure you use your FULL EMAIL ADDRESS as the
username." This after
Oops.

This after already logging in this morning and reviewing my email via
Webmail. It even let me in intermittently after getting the error message.

When I try to retrieve mail with my email client software, it reports
that "mail.spamcop.net" has timed out, although traceroute says it's alive.

I browsed the email forums for some new info and there was nada.

I have also email JT (from a gmail account).

My spam reporting functions have not been affected.

Check that.

Seems it's a global problem; several posters in the forum have spoken.

I am back up and other posters say email came back up ~10:37 a.m. PST.

Left a message on JT's answering service. Posted announcements
in the Forum. It does appear that both mail and webmail servers
are now back up.
Thanks waz. The mail is fine; just the reporting system is broken now.
S... happens :)

Checking the graphic/link I provided at the top of the Forum page
http://forum.spamcop.net/forums/index.php?act=module&automodule=custom&page=stats
the Reporting system is catching up with the flood of incoming
spam submittals. Should be working now for you.
